The Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA), has launched two books on the impact of technology on education and effective data management in the 21st century to improve the learning environment, economy, health and goes hand-in-hand with modern World.

The launch was held on Monday in Damaturu, which attanded by the top government dignitaries; Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, represented by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal.

Others, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alh Baba Mallam Wali, Executive Secretary of SEMA, Dr. Mohammed Goje- representates, while the keynote speaker Dr. Adebayo Suleiman.

The first book, titled “Effective Data Management in the 21st Century,” is a guide aimed at equipping data processing officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage data effectively in the digital age.

The book covers various topics such as data processing, analysis, visualization, and security, among others. It is designed to help officers manage data effectively, thus improving decision-making processes in the state.

The second book, “The Impact of ICT on Education in Rebranding Yobe Youths,” explores the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in improving the quality of education in the State.

The book highlights the importance of integrating technology into the educational system to enhance learning outcomes and prepare the youth for the future of work.

Speaking at the occasion, the Director General of YITDA, Dr. Adam K. Mohammed, emphasized the importance of technology in driving economic growth and development in Yobe State.

He said the books were part of the agency’s efforts to promote the use of technology in various sectors of the economy, including education, healthcare, and agriculture.

In a show of support, Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, purchased 10 copies of each book at N100,000, amounting to N1,000,000, which will be distributed among data processing officers in Yobe State.

This gesture is highly commendable, as it demonstrates his commitment to the development of the state and the improvement of data management practices.

The launch of the books will be followed by a workshop/ induction of data processing officers in Yobe State on effective data management in the 21st century, which will be held on Tuesday.

The workshop aims to provide practical training for officers on the effective use of data management tools and techniques.

He said the launch of this books is a testament to his commitment to promoting technology and innovation in Yobe State. With the increasing importance of technology in driving economic growth and development.

Adding that the books will serve as valuable resources for individuals and organizations seeking to leverage technology to improve their operations and services.
